»   A couple of new entries in the discography: Jasper – Ohrenpost (Sony records) , Lemming – Gotha s Halloween, and a string of 4 Ambient compilations on KK Box (Asia) featuring various tracks of mine.

»   I m working on an ambient record with guitarist Gundy Keller and will continue my writing collaboration as well as live playing with Ian Cussick. (some nice new pics from gigs under www.myspace.com/nickoosterhuismusic )

»   While cleaning out the archive this looong winter, I found some analog stuff that seems to be interesting enough to save it. to digital , which I did, more later……

»   A project from the early 80ties : the SOUND ART WORKSHOP re-released : DIFFERENT FACES , DIFFERENT PLACES. I played some Moog and Gtr parts on that record.

»   Another record that I’m working on : The Highlands featuring Ian Cussick. Release on EMI Production Music this year. Ian just came back from the U.S. and we’ll continue recording in March.

»   The debut album of Jasper will be out soon.
Recorded at Vintage Music Studio and Eject Studio , produced and arranged by Detlef Wiedeke and myself. With over 4.8 million clicks @ Youtube Jasper is already pretty wellknown before his first record comes out……

»   Last year I played a couple of gigs with Scottish rock legend Ian Cussick (take a look at the Scrapbook or Myspace)..
On the 8th of april2009 a concert with Ian Cussick and Edo Zanki is planned at the Laieszhalle in Hamburg . The concert will be recorded and released on DVD later this year.

»   The new album of The Lemming will be released in 17 countries.

»   Spring 2008


A new instrumental record is out on EMI / Selected Sound: The Netherlands. Featuring original folksy tunes and orchestral themes, as well as a couple of Dutch traditionals.

»   Liverpool Rock n Roll legend KINGSIZE TAYLOR has moved to Hamburg, and THE BROTHERHOOD OF ROCK N SOUL is the name of his newly formed band..I produced the first CD, it was recorded at Higainstudio and Ejectstudio. Mixed by Thorsten Rejzek and me at Ejectstudio. I played piano and B3 on the record and joined for a couple of gigs.

»   2 DVD’s are made (take a look @ the videography), documenting 2 concerts of The Brotherhood of Rock n Soul: The debutconcert at the Downtown Blues club and the Berlin concert with Chuck Berry.

»   The new album of alternativ rockers CRUSH2002 is out now. Produced by me and the boys at Ejectstudio.

»   A comeback album of the Dutch gothic rock band THE LEMMING is due for the summer. It will feature a song of mine: “Haunted House”

»   A new solo record is to be released this year on EMI records.

»   The recording of the new Crush album is scheduled for June and July.

»   I played a benefit concert with Hamburgs Starclub rock and roll legend Kingsize Taylor from Liverpool in February. A new band was born: KINGSIZE TAYLOR AND THE BROTHERHOOD OF ROCK N SOUL.
We played one gig at the Downtown Blues Club in Hamburg, and we will be opening for Chuck Berry on an open air event on July 22 in Berlin.
More gigs coming up. The line up: Chris Thornton-Voc,Gtr; Volker Schlag-Voc,Gtr; Kingsize Taylor- Voc,Gtr; Ecky Hofman-Sax,Flutes; Bjoern Hofman-Drums; Thorsten Rejzek-Bass, and myself on keys.

»   "Improvisationen zu Hermann Hesse , Der Steppenwolf" is the title of an album by Holger Waernecke , to be released on Fugeo Records.
Recorded in 1994, 13 years later the permission for release from the Hesse Publishing Co. was granted.
6 Songs, 2 co-written with Holger, the rest written by me. Lyrics by Holger and Hermann Hesse.
Also available on Itunes.

»   A re-release of “Names And Faces” recorded 1980 by THE LEMMING is due. I played Hammond and grand piano on a couple of tracks. More information: www.thelemming.nl

»   The site has gone trough some changes, The Eject Music button will get you straight to the Eject Music site. Due to legal issues the SONGS button is gone for the moment. There will be some sort of download platform in the future though. Stay tuned.

»   The Eject Studio is completely rebuilt and has more to offer than ever before. Apart from the obvious Mac G5 with powefull software the accent lies on vintage recording equipment.: A pair of old Neumann Tube mikes (yes with M7 capsules) a pair of Neumann Km 84 s, a Neumann Km54 and M582 have joined the Telefunken v76 and v72 s. Urei 1176 (blackface) for compression, and the anlog keyboard corner now features Hammond B3 with tube Leslie, Fender Rhodes Mark 1 and Mark 2 electric pianos, a Hohner D6 Clavinet and a Wurlitzer 200a. A complete range of synths from old analogs to Roland Phantom. Racks full of GTR stuff, Vox ac 30 you name it....

»   Currently original "LONE AGE" CDs go away at EBAY for $ 250 and more. Maybe the time for a re-release has come? (without the disgusting cover, please:-)

"Ilse Bilse" is the name of an audio book I recorded last month. Wartime stories written by Ilse Neumann (not related to the microphone company :-)....just released.

»   I did some work on the new album of the finnish heavy metal band "Dyecrest".

»   I also played keys on the new album of "Burnt Noodle", an underground band from San Francisco, featuring bass player/singer Paul Lamb (Tom Waits, Sammy Hagar). No flight to the Golden Gate bridge , thanx to modern digital communication

»   Earlier in 2004 Wanda Jackson received an award for lifetime achievement from the GACMF, the German American Country Music Fed.
The event was broadcasted on German television and released on DVD later last year.
I played piano in the backing band. Other U.S. artists we backed up that night include Michael Peterson , Danni Leigh and John Carter-Cash (son of Johnny Cash and June Carter, who accepted an award for Johnnie Cash)

»   The second album of the Dutch cabaret group Cantecleer is in the make. Release later this year.

»   Sept 26, 2003-Johnny Cash, Warren Zevon, and now our beloved Robert Palmer, a sad day for everybody who loves music......

»   "SPHERES OF THE UNIVERSE" is the title of a new instrumental cd , featuring floating moody themes. No other musicians involved, just little old me on all instruments. Release September 2003 on EMI selected sound.

»   Another album soon to be out on selected sound is called "SONGBOOK".
It is a compilation of songs by different artists, and it includes an acoustic song of mine : "Crazy".

»   If you look in the discography you will find some other stuff I have been involved with, such as Gnadenlos Platt (two records, one included in the discography) and Radio Power Station (record finally out).

»   The DVD from the German- American Country Awards 2003 might be of some interest as I was playing keyboards in the backing band that night. :-).
From Rattlesnake Annie to Freddy Quinn ... we played with some legends. The DVD includes the acts that were cut out on the television show.

»   RADIO POWER STATION is the name of a new rock band featuring Christoph Slidin` John.
The debut album was recorded by Mike Vogel and myself at the Punkt Studios and also features me on B3 organ and piano. Release spring 2003.

»   Another record featuring my hammond B3 is from a band called GNADENLOS PLATT and is out now..

»   Mike and I also did some recording with bluesharpplayer CRAZY CHRIS KRAMER and TOM SHAKA for the upcoming album of Chris.

»   A German Version of one of my songs will be released on the new album: "ZEITLOS" of the legendary German rock & roller Peter Kraus. Release fall 2002.
